Our Story

The original Little People's Store opened March 15, 1990 in Soquel at a time when there were no quality resale stores in the area. Ron and Shelly Leeman set out to build a store that their own family would like to shop in, with clean, quality childrens items and name brand clothing, furniture and baby equipment. Little People's Store was able to grow because of the late Ms. Brown, who designed, built, and sublets the Soquel building where the old store is still located.

In June of 2008 we opened a new store, the Little People's Store of Scotts Valley. In December of 2009, the Soquel store was sold to Tanya Strite.

In December of 2011, the store was sold to Raelyn D'Amielio. Some of you might remember her as Sheryl's sister who would sometimes come in and help with trade on Tuesdays and Thursdays. One of her first priorities was to give the store new hard wood floors, which was achieved during Martin Luther King Jr. weekend in January of 2011.

We are always working hard to offer clean, fun products to our customers. Also, we now have a great selection of new items including Robeez, Ergo Carriers, i*Play, Green Sprouts Organics, See Kai Run, and Sansha dancewear.

Thank you for being a part of our Little People's Store family!
